Default Looking for a radio that fits 1981

Hey guys

looking for somebody that has a cd player-radio that works on a 1981 porsche. something not expensive...just the bare minimun...don't have money for the to big stuff..

Anything that fit the standard radio slot... 1 3/4 inch tall I think?

The radio opening on the early cars is NOT the standard DIN size so the opening must be slightly enlarged and the trim insert cut a bit on both sides , odds are your trim is already cut if any aftermarket radio was ever installed.

Any standard DIN size will fit. You will probably be best to buy some sort of a harness unless wiring is your thing.

Sorry mine did have an aftermarket already so I thought that DIN fit.

Good catch Jim. I vaugely remember that now with my old '80.

Yes they have to be trimmed a bit on the sides to fit the Din size. These stereo's might be just what your looking for.
