Ok I need some opinions, I started doing some interior work, and I figured out that my color is Cork not Cashmere, most of the vinyl and leather is still in ok condition; the carpet however is multi shade faded, dirty, and basically unusable. So I would like some thoughts, I’m looking at doing the new carpet in an ocean blue to complement the petrol blue exterior, does anyone think this would look good? I attached a shot of Chuck Z’s pasha interior because the leather and vinyl are the same color as mine, imagine everything pasha here and the carpet being a petrol blue type color, cool or crazy?

Uhh - I would say no - but thats just me... too many very different colors
Chuck's interior with black looks good.... why not go with that or a very dark gray/ charcoal as a neutral backdrop.

I dont intend to use pasha, I meant the areas that are pasha in Chucks interior would be the blue color in mine. I don't realy like pasha so much, its cool and all just not my style.

I'd vote for dark grey or black as well. I've got the cork/pascha interior currently, but with the tan carpet that's quite faded in a some spots, so I know what you mean. I'll be replacing mine with black when the time comes.

OK I meant that the blue & cork just don't seem to go well together for me.
You'd still have 2 different blues (in/out) cork + black trim anyway...

Ok, yea Cork / Black was my first thought anyway, kinda like the Black / Tan which looks awesome. Thats why I wanted other opinions, I think Cork / Blue could look cool, but it could also look lame. I would hate to buy the carpet and then hate the way it looked.

Cork is a warm beige, with much more red in it than Cashmere. If you look at the color wheel, you'll find it in the orange range (with low saturation). The complementary color would be a tealish blue, such as your petrol blue. It's actually a pretty good combo as is.
However, since ocean blue carpet is unlikely to match the petrol blue exterior, I'd rather match the carpet to the rest of the interior. The less colors you use, the calmer and more elegant it will look.
Sometimes less is more.

Nicole, I've read several of your posts regarding color so I know you have done some homework, the color of the carpet and inserts would actually match the exterior color as close as possible, at least that was what I was gonna shoot for, then the Cork would become the accent of the car, you follow? I still can't help thinking it would look cool. Right now the whole interior is Cork, it looks bland in only 1 color, I really like the two tone style interiors.

well see if you can get a yard of your favorite color and stick it to the places like the door inserts , see if YOU like it.
For me I would go with black carpet it hides a lot and also look neat when its clean and you really cant go wrong. BUT in the end its what you like

If you are concerned about blandness, I would suggest adding a maximum of two types of subtle accents, such as contrasting piping or stitching, metal or wood acents - but not large pieces in that color.

Well I've made my decision, Black / Cork it will be, after carefully checking available colors I think it would be very hard to get the right blue shades to make it look right, Black / Cork looks badA$$ though so thats what I'm gonna do. Thanks for the input all.

Next question, has anyone purchased the Domestic Carpet kit from 928leather? If so are you satisfied with it, or do you wish you would have opted for the higher priced imported stuff? I wanna save money on my resto, I am sure both products are quality, but if the Domestic is just as good as the Imported, I'm gonna go the less expensive route, and since I'm doing black, and the Domestic only comes in black it kinda works out.
