I would love to hear what you guys think about the way I styled the ad.
I mean there was so much documentation I could not fit it all! I think its the best deal out there. If anyone knows anyone who might be interested, Please let me know. Thank you

dont take this the wrong way, but your ebay ad sucks, what with the pictures of receipts?

You have like 1 pic of the exterior of the car and a dozen or more of pages of receipts, at least thats what i think they are.

I would edit your listing and add a ton of pics, otherwise i dont think you will sell it for $18 let along $18K

I wasn't going to make an issue of this before, but if Joe is posting here on Rennlist, I think he is obligated to explain his situation to the members. I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. If he's looking to flip it because he got a great deal, that's OK. But if there's an issue with the car, keep it on ebay and don't try to hit on an unsuspecting Rennlist member by posting here.

Eugkim,

I respect your concern for the group and you’re right. No one knows me here, personally.

In advance without any question, let it be known - the car is PERFECT! Super Perfect. This is the type of car you wish someone in your family would take. It has a mountain of documentation. Much money was spent in the last 10k miles, not necessarily fixing, but replacing and insuring the best driving experience. I am an extreme fusspot. I would welcome any inspection.

The Car just doesn't work in my lifestyle. I just finished having surgery (on my ***) and was laid up for 45 days. I have a great friend who is a Jaguar guru and about 10 years and $28k later built me a jaguar xjs with a 400 small block. Viper blue with painted double white (dusted with blue pearl) stripes. During my pain and suffering I listed it on Craigslist – part to learn about craigslist and part to sell it.

Well it sold- My freagin’ baby left the building- A lady drove three hours to my door- saw the car – went for a ride with my wife- (I couldn’t sit) 10 minutes later came back and wrote a personal check for the total minus a $1000 she negotiated. The check cleared- she came back 10 days later (with her girlfriend, huumm uh). The girlfriend never got out of the car. My buyer got out- installed the two screws for the plate and said, thanks a lot Joe and feel better. NEVER LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD!!!!
Unbelievable!

The way a car guy thinks, it has always been a dream car, I had to replace the jag immediately and grabbed me a 928. The cars really don’t compare yet because they’re both v8’s---Anyhow I would hate to stretch this thread in that direction. I found it and bought it, and just like the jag, it sits in the same spot on the garage floor. Just like the jag, another painting that will never be used. Bad move.

I need a large Suv, to haul the wife, beautiful baby, hopefully a sitter and two cats down to Florida. We have a Toyota minivan and frankly, B O R I N G!!! Honestly I don’t care if I sell it this week or next. I love looking at it. I mean it! After all it is still a perfect, Porsche 928 S4. What’s not to love? Thank you all and I hope one of you folks get it!

I always admired this club for its precision- the Prowler club is another super, super fantastic club. The beetle club- you get more girls and kids, and $100 is a lot of money. Not that money should ever be wasted- But, hopefully you know what I mean. The Cadillac club is too big and unorganized. And the jaguar club- so British its backward lol.

PS- 928andRC51, the timing chain was just done less than 5000 miles ago and was already retensioned,

Thank you – hers a pic of my Jag.

1. I was not aware of a S4 produced in 1981??? Can you explain that one to me in more detail?? Do you mean it has S4 body parts?

2. I think you mean timing belt, not chain.............although if we did have that nice new timing "chain", man that sure would make things a lot easier

Joe,

I'm sure that my concerns may be misguided. It's the inconsistencies that bother me. You posted threads in Pelicanparts and Rennlist looking for white 928s 87-91, as well as mechanics in your area (as well as Craigslist). Then you found your car on ebay, bought the car without a PPI, and couldn't contain your excitement about the pending arrival of it. Curiously, your posts ceased when you took delivery. Rumor has it there were some concerns on your part about the car. Then, you deleted the info on Rennlist referencing the ebay add, and clearly are asking more money than you paid.

I don't have any issues about you getting a smoking deal on, what appears to be, a VERY clean 91 S4. More power to you if you can flip it for a profit. But why try to cover your tracks? Your add seems as transparent as any I've seen, so sorry if I'm being a cynic.

First invoice I look at says $100 mount and balance SNOW TIRES.... not what most collectors want to see...... Frankly it is a terrible add with far too much about YOU ! The $19,000 spent on "repairs" actually will scare away more potential buyers than it draws in since only a current 928 owner would understand the potential benefit of that much being already done. Most novices would just get blown away that their "dream car" is a proven money pit. The 95,000 miles while low pretty much makes it just another used car. But you did ask ! I do hope your butt feels better but that too was more information than I wanted to read
