Hey,

Kevin Michael was looking to get rid of his wife's Suburban just yesterday, do a search for the thread. Not sure but you may wanna touch base with him. Nice looking car BTW.

More pics of the car in the add, less wording, felt like I had just hit a wall of text. Bullet points are your friend in this situation.

The $19,000 spent on "repairs" actually will scare away more potential buyers than it draws in since only a current 928 owner would understand the potential benefit of that much being already done. Most novices would just get blown away that their "dream car" is a proven money pit. The 95,000 miles while low pretty much makes it just another used car. But you did ask ! I do hope your butt feels better but that too was more information than I wanted to read

Please don't take it the wrong way, but your auction is pretty weak. You probably have 10 seconds tops to get a bidder's attention. That 10 seconds should be pictures to interest the bidder and a list of stuff that was done to the car.

My advice would be to take all of those service pics off. No one is going to look at those, you are just wasting bandwidth. Put all pics of the car. Relevant pics at that. No glamour shots from 100 feet away, but rather high res shots of what matters to the buyer. Next just line list everything that you have done to the car in bullet form. No one wants to read a paragraph about everything you have done. I'd put the date, the service only, should you feel the need to justify the cost list that as well. Finally, Add that you have a link to scans of all the service items above.

It's your auction and your call. I'm just trying to give you tips that I have used with success.

It's a good ad in concept but needs refinement. Like Aaron said, you have 10 seconds to get someones attention and that means gorgeous pictures. Then you have them reading and can stress the continuous service history over time, but don't stress the total. Someone who doesn't know these cars as well as we do (almost everyone, and let's face it that's your market), will get freaked with the total but will appreciate continuous service. It adds a significant premium to the car, worth every penny.

"Honestly I don’t care if I sell it this week or next. I love looking at it"....

It is indeed a nice looking shark in the photos, but then perhaps I'm a bit partial to white 1991 S4s!

I'm thinking that even if it is a nice 928, at that price for that mileage, you'll probably have plenty of time to be looking at it. I don't think its going to be moving that fast unless it just happens to be specifically what someone is looking for. Especially in this current economy.

That was great Critisim- I guess I was talking too much as a car guy- I got it- I will let this auction run out and then list it differently with better pics- As far as the price- After looking and knowing this car $18500 is a very, very fair start.

Yes I started researching about the car, and never thought about the fact, Porsche dealerships kind of forgot about the 928's - I thought it prudent to find my own as local as could be. I used craigslist for that with partial success. However never used or needed anything done- the car is first class.

Thank you,

Joe Cat
