I'm sure its been known for years. But after hanging out with the DFW crew for a year and a half now, I have never heard anybody in the group mention it. The cool thing is, I actually got to meet the guy, and I would have got to see the car in person too, but it was not at his house at the time.

I'm going to keep in touch so that I can go see it run in person. I'll have my car there too. I'll let him know about OCIC.

I used to drag race my 67 GMC pick-up truck years ago. I managed high 13's with a 383 stroker, lunati cam with 480 lift/292 duration, 10:1 compression, 2500 stall, 3:73 gears, Posi 12 bolt, fully ported and polished "461" casting heads with 2.02/1.6 stainless valves ect. This might not sound like much, but this was a full size long bed truck that weighed just over 3800 pounds with me in it and was very traction limited.

Its weird that I made the transition to a 928 which is such a non-drag race type car. I guess that's why I was so stoked about this race car. Cool.

And the best of all, the nitrous can be un-velcroed from the rear seats to return the car 100% to stock.
LOL

Sorry to be picky but I think you will find he was on his way to buy a newspaper.

I'm not sure if he will know because I think he bought it that way. But I'll shoot him an e-mail.

Most of the weight in Brett's car is probably the 500# nitrous tank.

Hmm.. this guy just doesn't like keeping original mfr's engines.

928 with a Chevy..

Chevy Corvette with a Hemi..

What's next?

A Dragster with a 928 engine?!

Hmm.. that *would* be cool wouldn't it!

I like it and go along with James, like them all, stock and not.
Front end looks like a Jacquemond nose.

Many of us have talked about it, but had no idea that it was located 30 miles from us.

The owner now knows to let us know when he runs next so we can come and watch. I think it would be kick *** for a bunch of 928's to show up and root him on.

That and pictures of our cars with it.

not that impressive by today's standards.....

today's Pro Mods are currently running in the low 3.80's @ around 190 mph (1/8th mile).

My question would be when these numbers were run, and with what engine combination.

impressive if you've never been that fast, I suppose---
