When you open up a thread, and ask a question - people will usually commit to finding your problem, especially if you COME BACK and give an update.

So please, lets try to do that. I have been searching all morning for an L-JET issue/ missfire - and many people have had similar problems....

They ask a question, get a couple responses, and then... Nothing. No update - whether it worked, didn't work, they burned the car down, or died.

How about it people?

Even better, proactivley, I will go back to my own threads and see how I can update them. I suggest some people who had a big conversation going with no update do the same.

I agree. I would like to add that I think folks should try to be more descriptive in their subject line as well. This saves alot of trouble when futer generations use the search function.

Definitely agree...I've spent too many hours reading old threads, that have the exact concern I'm struggling with, with the results left out.

Fantastic suggestion Brendan. It would be so helpful if people saw progress or a known fix for a problem. Many people do update, while others leave the thread hanging. It makes you wonder if the problem ever got solved. Maybe problem was caused by owner and then resolved ? Even so, let people know. Also repeating what has already been suggested happens alot.

Biggest help in a lot of this is naming a thread accordingliy. The searcch helps you find the info you need much quicker.....but like Brendan said a follow up to any procedure would be nice as well.

+1, actually I try to keep in mind when asking a question or starting a thread to include key search words on the topic. Some topics and threads are so hard to find because of the wording.
