Default Cat bypass on '84: Can you feel the HP difference?

Hi,
Am considering a cat bypass on an AUTOMATIC '84. Do you think I will actually feel the HP/Torque lift difference?

You should feel a difference but you will surely hear the difference.

Hi Jaimesy,

Are you allowed to do that in California??? Thought that was the worst emissions control state in the country?

We put a couple of high flow, large cell shorty cats under mine, sounds great, and still smells like a cat car. Definite hp difference too, but really couldn't say how much. It still passes NJ emissions inspections...
