My plan is to get down to 928 Int'l for a project parts stock-up sometime early-mid afternoon, then over to the Marriot after that, say around 4-5 for the meet/greet. See you there!

I did a test drive of Angeles Crest Highway yesterday to see what's open, and burn off a bit of gas. Very pleasant. I'll post to the other thread on that.

Due to pressing personal commitments, I will be unable to attend this year's Sharktoberfest. This will be the first one I've missed since its inception.

I left yesterday around 7:30 am to rainy weather and about 60degrees... got into the Fullerton Marriott at 11:30 after hitting two traffic jams..one in Sacramento (rush hour) and one at 11:00 at night on 5 in LA...Does this place ever not have traffic LOL . I figured I should just push through since no one else came down from the Pac NW..so just about 16 hours of driving...and as soon as I got through Portland OR...the weather cleared and temps got into the upper 80's>>>Nice..very nice . The GT ran flawlessly and hit triple digits many times. The V1 also saved me a couple of times too...mostly here in Cali, the troopers here seem to be out in full force. I parked next to Dave (Sharkskin) in the covered parking.

Last time I ran the whole trip in one day was back in 98 when I flew down to 928 Intl. to pick up my first 928 (a 84S 5sp) that Mark thought was too good to part out. Flew down and caught a shuttle to 928 Intl....browsed the shop for a bit..hopped in the 84 and drove all the way back home.. ..

Thanks Mark Anderson for the event. We had a great time, and as usual the BBQ was terrific. Gotta make a note to stop by and buy some for home There were some very nice cars today and had an opportunity to meet some folks that I hadn't seen in a while.
