82/Gts body kit
I have a Bosch alternator that lacks the connection points for the shield. I need this to wire in my air temp switch. My alternator is fine but need the correct one, anyone want to swap; cash maybe involved if needed. I'm sure there are some hard core rip it all out players out there.

You had me stumped for a moment - I'm thinking what temp switch is on the alternator - then I realised you want to connect the external air temp sensor in the wheel arch/under the fender which sits in the alternator cooling air duct.
I'ld guess there is sufficient air flow under the wheel arch/fender to use the temp sensor without the duct, but the duct is a good idea to keep the alt cool.
I can't remember which side of the alternator the duct/shield goes - someone else chime in please - but it's kind of at the 4'oclock or 8 oclock position. The shield attaches with 4 nuts (M5 or M6 I forget) onto studs on the rear of the alt. Could be the studs are just an extension of the bolts that hold the alt together ? Alternatively you could examine the best location for the shield and duct on the rear of the alternator and just drill and tap some holes for M5 or M6 bolts to match the holes in the shield ?

YOU THINK THEY WOULD AT LEAST CLEAN IT BEFORE E-BAY LISTING ![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
I guess I could take it apart and drill some holes add a bolt etc etc but a trade would be easier. I think the sensor would work ok in Florida because it's always hot here. The car has headers so it's less prone to heat I guess!
