Default Fuel pump check valve?

The '83 won't start. Have fuel at the rail and spark at the plug.

Tried the quick key-click to ensure fuel pump runs for a couple seconds afterward and it does. After about 10 quick key-clicks, it will start sort of roughly and then die immediately. Cycle through about 10 clicks and same result for fire and die.

Is this clearly the fuel pump check valve? or should it at least run for a few seconds once it fires?

If it is the check valve, can the check valve be repaired or replaced? or is a new pump required?

Thank you for any help to get my DD back on the road!!

The check valve is not the problem....it just helps hold pressure for restarts does nothing to keep a car running . You are firing on the 9th injector the cold start and I doubt that your 8 main injectors are firing at all. Get a Noide light injector tester and plug it in see if it flashes when you crank the engine.
