Just a little update. Dad's car went back to the shop for the scheduled check up. They fixed every leak and the rough idling is gone. Computer issue they say. I can't be specific as to which computer until I actually see the receipt. Well, we shall see Saturday when we pick it up.

Picked up today and it runs FanTastic. Only problem left is very slow oil leak coming from the oil pan. Costs a pretty penny to fix so Dad decided to hold off for awhile. Just thought I'd share.

First thing to do (free!) is to snug - not tighten - each of the oil pan bolts.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, the shop did that already. It's ok for now I guess. The leak is very slow. I did a search on replacing the oil pan gasket and realized why it costs quite a bit. Pretty labor intensive.

Just found out that resetting the trip odometer is extremely streaky. May actually reset after a hundred tries. Yep, the electrical problems begin.
