We were hoping that you might make it back from Nassau in time to make it up. Yes, Don made it with his new red shark, one of four red 928s that we had this weekend. Just his was waaaaaaaaaaay too quiet for what I'm used to hearing him drive without his turbos on it,..... yet!

Here's a variety of pics from this weekend.

-A couple of DE accidents. Talk about a bad weekend & those guys are supposed to mostly be the DE instructiors!
-Arlene getting some pics for her Florida Shark directory, whilst a 911 zooms by during a race.
-Some from dinner Sat. night. Its amazing how excited someone becomes when they received unexpected motor mounts. Everyone was very thankful for Rog's kindness.
-Some sharks in the parking lot at dinner.
-Brian gettin serious on the go-kart track. We couldn't figure out how he got kart #928!
-A 928er enjoying the 911 Driving Experience in the infield while the PCA racers are racing in the background.
-The Sunday Enduro racers getting started.
-A pic of the infield gathering of 928s, owners & on lookers. We had quite a few people come by to see our sharks. Our track announcer/shark owner Dick Kj was kind enough to mention us over the PA system.
-And for some go karters it was more important to look good than to win!

This is the address to my Kodak gallery slide show with pics and videos of the weekend. I am not sure if the link works but its worth a try.

Simone and I had a great time spent with lots of new friends. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming. We look forward to more Florida shark events. Sebring, here we come!

It was great to meet you both this weekend Jim, always good to be around enthusiastic shark owners like you & Simone! I'm glad you both had a good time. Those pics you took are very good indeed! They tell the story of the weekend well. Perhaps you can choose some of your favorites & post them here for the masses & those not desiring to view them all on the link. As Brian advised this weekend, the hotels at Sebring are already filling up! The race is Feb. 6th-8th. Here's the link to the race web site: http://www.48hoursatsebring.com/

More photos from Sharks at Daytona. I had a great time.

Thanks to all of the Florida shark owners for your hospitality (sorry I missed the go-cart fun and dinner). I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at Sebring again in Feb.

The driver of the Martini Porsche may look slightly familiar

More pics from Daytona.

As Mel mentioned previously, the last photo is a GT3 which hit the wall in turn four (right rear tire let go) during a DE event. The driver walked away unhurt, but the car was totalled. It had current license plates and registration and an aftermarket GPS unit inside. Except for the roll cage, racing seats and tires it looked like his street car. There were other DE stickers on the window. I was told that he had track insurance.

Damn, looks like a fun time. Sorry we missed it and glad the weather held out for you.
We made a reservation at the Kenilworth Lodge for Sebring and won't be canceling it. See you all then.

We missed you & Gina this year Mike, glad to hear you're already booked for Sebring. Least you have a great reason to be taking your cross country road trip next week. Hope its a great & safe trip! Man you sure seem to have a knack for finding unique & desirable 928s on ebay, and at great prices! Heck I still wanna know where your former Linen/Linen '90 S4 ended up from the dealer in Mo., I'd still love to have that car some day!

Looks like what we lacked in attendance we made up for in pictures. Ordering an oil pan gasket soon so I can do that when I install my new motor mounts-thanks Mel/Roger. Thinking of going back to Daytona this weekend to find that little girl who kept trying to put me in the wall during the go-cart session. See everyone in Sebring.

The editor of my local PCA-Florida Crown Region's online monthly magazine asked me to write a brief article about our Sharks at Daytona event. If you go to the link below & scroll down to page 8, you can read what they printed of it with a few pics that I also already posted here. Most active PCAers here know of our annual events at Daytona & Sebring. Usually PCA members at the track who are non shark owners always make sure to stop by to say hello & see our cars. For those who say PCA is not 928 friendly, I say join & get active & you'll find that they accept us in just fine because we all love Porsches. We go to as many events as we can.

There is also an article about the upcoming Panamera on page 20 too.

Here's the link to the online magazine:
