Default ( C ) Wrench ??

Can someone tell me what size C wrench I need to buy in order to adjust my rear suspension, (The one that fits the adjustable collar) below the spring seat.

Ken...........buy a C wrench thats hinged which makes it adjustable for a variety of applications.

This is what you need, the large one. HF had a cheaper set consisting of 3 sizes (no attachments) that was 1/4 the price. You don't need the pin adaptors. Keep looking. Motorcycle shops carry these too.

As always many thank,s for the replies,...... Ive lubed the threads today, they should be ok, as there is,nt any rust under there,.... however iv,e noticed that the side I want to lift has MORE thread showing than the side that is at an acceptable level.

IE looking from the rear of car my driver side (UK Right Hand Drive) is approx 25mm lower than passenger side (US Left Hand Drive) if that makes sense.

Question is ? , Why would the lower side have more thread showing

Read the manual Ken to get the correct measurement points for the car...............recall that you need a full tank of fuel and weight in the drivers seat to replicate 'you'. With a fully loaded car check the ride height fore and aft and make adjustemnts without raising the car.

.,thank,s Malcolm, I take it you mean that adjustments should be done with car on the level, ie no jacking up,... seems like you will need some strength, with the weight of the car, to turn that collar.

If you jack it up you'll then have to drive the car some distance to 'settle' the suspension before you can check your adjustments.

Needing strength?.............yes, but with the correct tool and foritication from the local brown ale and you'll be good.
