Yes I really do. And they're so easy and straightforward to work on, and share many parts with the 914

(Inside joke)

I've actually been pretty lucky. I had the opportunity to buy a bronze 928 5 speed for $2775.. but it decided not to start when I went to test drive it! And then this one. This one is pretty special, I haven't seen many blue ones with a black (and linen?) interior. I think it's a little modern appearing than the blue interiors.

But at least I've driven a 928 stick, and have some knowledge to baseline my judgement on now.

The thing with any car really is "what do you want it for?" and in my case, I wanted a car to compliment the cars I already have. And in this case, I really wanted a faster car, and one that is a little "prettier". So while this one is mechanically so solid it makes me want to cry, I'd really feel pressured to paint it... and then work on the interior.. and then supercharge it.

And by the time I was done, I probably should have just bought a newer, nicer one. So for now, I'll sit and pine. sigh.

Admittedly, if you wanted something that drove nice, and wanted to tinker with cosmetics, this would be ideal. OR if aesthetics were really far down the list, I'd say it's perfect as-is.

Plus, Paul is an uber cool guy to work with.

The car appears to be sold again. I'll re-post if it falls through. Thanks for all the interest!

The buyer will be inspecting the car on Monday so I will know at that point. For all practicle purposes it is sold but it ain't over till money changes hands.

Sigh.. The car just drove off with its happy new owner. I get the feeling this car is going to be in my "one that got away" list.

Time to go back to shopping.

Well several hours of sweat, tears and hard earned money drove out of the court today.

If the new owner chooses to anounce himself I'll let him do the pleasures otherwise know that the car has moved onto another 928 household.

Thanks for all the interest.
