Well, the weather turned nice, if blisteringly hot and we went to the show with Obehave (Ed) and his wife Michelle. It was a great day!! Here are some pics from the show....
Not a single Porsche in the bunch, that we saw...but we did see someone pulling out of the parking lot later in the day in a black 928. We didn't get a chance to meet that person.
And on our way out at the end of the day...we discovered that a beer had been made in our beloved sharks' honor!!

Thanks for coming, I wish I'd have known you were there.
I was one of the guys in the purple Road Knights shirt and the orange Judge's hat(I know, I know,... Call the Fashion Police!)
I was more than a little disappointed in that there were no P-cars entered. Not even the guy who won 2cnd place last year. In fact, both the original/restored 1988 - 2008 Foriegn and the 1988 - 2008 Sport/Compact Modified classes had only one entrant each. One each!
The weather had a lot to do with the poor turnout. It rained from 5:00am until 7:30am while we were setting up the field, then remained overcast and threatening looking until almost Noon. Must've scared everyone away. We probably didn't have much more than 200 Show cars, when we would normally have 450 - 500.

Edit: The Black 928 may have belonged to the middle-aged son of one of the Road Knights' older members. Members families are not prohibited from showing their cars, but most decline to do so.

Oh bummer! We should have made a point of figuring out how to find you before we went up...we would have been most pleased to meet you.
Well...we were a bit surprised that there were no Porsches. In fact, we started to consider putting our car in the show around 2:00 at Obehave's urging, because even though we didn't think it was of show quality, it appeared that we could have fit right in, and I even went to talk to one of the gate guys about it. But his sage advice was that since we'd already paid our entry fee, and found a parking spot outside the show, and that the judging had already begun so we couldn't get judged anymore, it would simply be a waste of money to bring our car in at that point.
We will probably bring both our cars next year and enter them. It could be interesting to see who beats who, hubby with his supercharged 85 euro, or me with my 84 stock euro.
Until next year!

Unfortunately, the gate guy was right.
Judging started at 1:30, and was winding down at around 2:00.
It would be great to see your cars in next years show.
With very few exceptions, our show is usually the second Sunday after Labor
Day weekend. That would put our 2009 show tentatively at Sunday, Sept 20th.
The only thing that would influence us to change our date would be if there's a
conflict with another big Show.
