I hope they'll do a black version of the S.

I just received my shipment. Unbelievable, how detailed these models are! The pictures I had gotten from AutoArt in no way do these models justice - they are much nicer!

Now I can't decide whether I like the white or the blue better; I think I'll keep one of each in my private collection!

If anybody wants to order from my store, go to www.hookedoncars.com, then select "Porsche" > "928" > "Books-Models-Keychains-Pins-etc."

Thanks!

I am just studying the incredible detail on one of these models, and must say I'm really blown away! Totally.

Here are a few things they did. Of course, many details are not functional, but they are there:

Exterior:
- Glossy paint job, even in the door jambs or under the hood and hatch
- narrow panel gaps
- Colored Porsche crest on hood
- Beautiful phone dial rims with crests
- Functioning steering
- Flip-up headlights
- All lights with reflectors
- Disc brakes
- Properly colored trim, including beading for bumper covers, headlight washer nozzles, antenna
- Triangular shaped guides on door window trim
- Door sill with 928 lettering
- Rear wiper and defroster wires
- 928 Showroom plates
- ...

Interior:
- fully "lined" black interior, including headliner, and inside of hatch trim areas
- Sun visors (not moveable)
- Carpet on floor, side of console, and in trunk
- Pascha seats and door inserts!!!
- Door panels have proper handles
- Safety belts with chrome buckles and red lock buttons
- Early console with round clock and early round buttons next to it, as well as the narrow vents with the **** to their left
- Fader and headlight adjuster ***** next to parking brake
- Manual shifter with early boot and CORRECT rear seats (the wider ones that manual transmission cars had until 84) with storage compartment
- Interior mirror, black with chromed reflective area
- Hatch shocks
- ...

Engine Compartment
- Hood shocks
- Hood liner
- Orange Air Filter
- Silver spider with brass hose clamps and Porsche crest
- Ignition wires!!!
- engine cross brace
- AC cooler
- Windshield washer reservoir with red cap
- ...

Amazing...

I don't think I could do any better than Jason - I don't have a super high quality Digital Camera, unfortunately. But I think Jason's pictures give you a pretty good idea - no?

Wow, I was on the fence about ordering one of these, but after seeing those photos I'm sold and will most likely pick up both now!

What - no tool kit?

Looks like a great Christmas present. From me to me.

I hope they all get bought out.
If this is a limited production, then these will be that much more collectible.
Also, it will send the message to AutoArt that there's considerably more demand for these than they had figured - & they need to get on the next gen. model (GTS?) a.s.a.p.

I just got my blue one and have to say, this is far and away the most detailed diecast I've ever seen. I have 3 1:8 Pocher Ferraris and this is every bit as detailed as they are. Simply an amazing piece! Worth the wait......

Boy did I get behind. Just ordered mine this morning. With one exception. I ordered directly from an online store (i don't remember what it is, i'm at work an don't have the exact web site in front of me), and only paid $79. Sorry Nicole, I didn't know you had them.
