Default Free: Custom built stereo enclosure for the hatch area

Free to a good home. Custom built amp/stereo unit for the rear of a 928. When new this custom built piece was part of a $40k stereo from ~1995. It's in decent shape, nothing is cracked or broken but the covering could stand to be replaced. All of the high end components were gone when I got the car and the piece that once held the sub was gone (could be easily made for a new sub). Because of the size, I am offering this for local pickup only. Let me know if you're interested.

Some pics:

Pieces included:

Here is what it looked like when I bought the black GTS:

Picture when all original components were present:

I'd love it. I'm half way through building one myself

Following is what my hatch area looks like and unfortunately has for 2 year.

I'd think your setup could fit right on top... I'd gladly pay packaging and shipping up to about $50 or so, just to get this done.

I have all the carpet to cover and match my interior.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be difficult but I just do not have the time. As I stated in my first post, local pick up only. It's still available if anybody wants it.

That setup is nearly identical to what I had in my S4. It raised the rear deck height and still allowed full access to the batteries. Definitely a good setup for the equipment but very heavy with everything installed.

Hi Chuck,

I’m sorry, I miss interpreted your previous post… I thought you indicated waiting to SITM 2009 was okay, but now that I look back it’s unclear.

I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I can ship a suitable package with prepaid UPS labels and call for pickup at your convenience or I have a few friends in Charlotte to call and pick up or I have an office in Charlotte if you are willing to drop it off.

Please let me know if any of these options would be agreeable.

Thanks,

Kurt

Kurt, you were the first to post about wanting it and if you can have someone pick it up, it's yours. Please PM or email (chuck "at" 928registry.org) with details. Thanks.

I just read my post, no wonder you misunderstood. I meant to say that I "won't" have it that long. Sorry about that.
