Cheryl
Congrats..... Tim did pretty good too! :>)

164mph sounds fast....but in the Beast its NOTHING.... Granted I've only been in the beast at maybe 90mph....but it feels like its idling at anything under 60mph.....thats where it starts to wake up!!!

Cheryl and Tim thats great that you both can be great drivers and navigators for each other.
Not many couples can have that kind of bond, and sleep in the same bed!!!
Keep em flying! Stan

If I misunderstood your post I am sorrry but she is awsome!

Perry replied: Not a dig at your wife...it says "no matter who is driving" referencing that it would be scary not being in control at those speeds with even with say, Mario at the wheel.

I heard an interview with Charles Lindbergh's daughter. She told a story about flying with her father when she was abot 11-12. They had an engine failure and had to make an emergency (iirc, moonlit) landing in a field full of "car-sized" rocks. She said she never even thought they were in danger, didn't get scared and hardly realized there was an emergency. ~ "After all, my Daddy was right there."

Lindbergh in the pilot's seat and a 928 under you at 164 mph offer similar envelopes of competence.

Great Job! The only way my wife will go 200mph is if she is sitting in First Class!

Isn't that more like 550MPH. Talk about speeding.

I swear my wife did 1000 mph one time when I called and told that I had a check for her. LOL

Tim and Cheryl,

Congrats; as one who has taken both of his 89 S4's over 165 on the open road (but not for the extended time that you were permitted in your events - and posted photo's of the speedo here on Rennlist), I can attest to how awesome these cars are at speed. Was hoping to do the Silverstates this year but too costly; I will be looking forward to hearing all about your runs at next years Sharks at the Lake event. Still working on a "Sharks in the Vineyard" event for the Solvang/Buellton area next year. Will be taking the 84 track car to AutoClub Speedway on the 20th with a newly rebuild supercharger by Carl (928 Motorsports) - this is the car I brought to the SATL event this year. Ken and I are almost done editing the 2008 SATL dvd's and will send up our first copy when finished. Again, congrats.
Les
