Default Windshield Antenna replacement

My windsheild is gone and was curious for those who have had the OEM antenna in the WS replaced without what antenna did you use?

TIA

Picked one up for my car, ended up in my daughters when the power ant. in her car broke. Works good, will be putting one in my car soon.

I had the same problem and tried this. There is not much amplification, so I'm going to try a couple of other things. I have a Blaupunkt CD changer that is an RF unit (has an antenna preamp built into the modulator), and if that isn't satisfactory I'll give the one ZEUS+ mentioned. If you find something that works well, let me know!

we've installed a few of these in customer cars, they work very well...
can be mounted behind the glove box, so close to the radio but still out of sight

thx folks.

Do you know if the antenna length can be extended for AM reception? We've real bad FM radio here; those big protrutions commonly known as the rockies.

Perhaps I should consider a sat setup?

The XM receivers are as little as $39.99 and the 1 yr service is about $12/mo plus the first month is free.

I was thinking about this today being my windsheild has a small chip that looks like its going to get nasty. When I pull my dash this winter, I think I am going to run my own antenna across and under the dash then up inside the a pillar cover and across and inside the headliner. This will allow me to continue to use the built in antenna amp and All I need to buy is a small spool of wire
