Thanks for all your comments and advice. I thought I felt good about my car before, but with the support and enthusiasm here, I'm even more excited now.
I plan on taking more pictures as soon as it stops raining down here.
Kevin, as far as the engine, it's painted, not powder coated. It looks great right now, but I'm wondering if it'll flake over time.
Mel, it sounds like an Xpipe and deleting the cats are the way to go, so I'm putting that on my list of things to do.

I bought my 928 from a guy in Salisbury, NC. I went up one weekend to check it out and made a deal with him that day (and picked it up the following weekend). He knows a LOT about restoring cars, but I believe this was the first 928 he had ever worked on. It still needs work (as I guess most 928s do), but all the important stuff is taken care of.
I love these sport seats!

Great car/find 
As to the RMB I cut the rear muffler off and had a muffler shop fab/weld up some pipes to the rear. I cleaned up the original tips that un bolt from the exhaust ends and used them on the "new RMB". I also used the heat shield above the "RMB" and bent up a flat piece of metal that connects to the heat shield and one of the rubber hangers and painted it black as to keep the original look and aid in supporting the "RMB". Also inspect the rubber hangers, they can crack and split and you will be dragin your *** if they do. Ask me how I know. Be sure to measure the tips/ends before you cut them off so that the new ends follow the original route and do not stick out to much or to little. I also disconnected the battery to protect the "brains" during welding of the pipe ends.
