Fault Code 1231
Yesterday I was in the 91' GT and was running a strong mix of Sea Foam as per routine maintenance..... (Not sure if this is related) ......
Anyway, I had the Check Engine light come on, and was heading straight back home and the light went out......
(Nothing abnormal about how was running and nothing indicated as an issue on any guages...... The CE Light was on for about a minute....)
I got home and flashed the code through the stalk and got fault code 1231, which I understand to be (1) LH Diagnosis (2) No Fault Present (31) Injection Circuit Shutdown.....
Then I went to the Test Point 10 (Injection Circuit Shutdown) and it references Volume 1-A Pages 28-77 to troubleshoot..... So I went there, and turned the page to 28-78, only to find it referencing fault codes 1132 or 1232...... Is this a mis-print of what really should read 1131 or the aforementioned 1231.....?
There is no LH Fault Code of 32, but there is an EZK Fault Code 32 (Knock Sensor 2), but wouldn't it read 2132 or 2232 if it were referencing this.....?
AFAIK, when reading the fault codes, the first number is a (1) LH or (2) EZK and the second number is (1) Fault Present or (2) No Fault Present and the last two numbers represent the actual Fault Code......
Am I correct on this understanding.....?
Should I just re-set it and drive it to see if it returns......?
I don't see how it would relate, but do any of you see how the Sea Foam Fuel System Clean-up could relate.....?
Best,
1131 would mean a steady fault with one of the LEDs on.
