Default For Sale: Sparco Pro 2000 race seat

I have a used Sparco Pro 2000 race seat in red with black center that I would like to sell and thought I'd offer it up here first because of how well this seat works in the 928.

This is a great seat for the 928 because it has mounting points on the bottom as well as the side. If you've ever put a race seat in a 928, you'll know that being able to mount the seat at the bottom is a huge plus. First there is not a lot of head room to be raising the seat hieght (as side mounts do) and it also keeps the weight lower in the car. It was mounted in my car with the Sparco sliding rails and it was within an inch of the original seating height.

I have a Sparco box that it will be shipped in with insurance.

These seats new sell from anywhere from $600 to 700+

This one can be had for $350 plus actual shipping costs.

Won't it be difficult to drive your car without a seat?

I have a fixed back Sparco race seat (the Chuck Briggs gave me) in my S4 now. It was really a "proof of concept" thing and is a bit of a pain for street use, but holy cow, I love it.

You are much more connected to the car, its just plain more fun to drive.

I would strongly recommend a fixed back race seat for anyone doing any track time. If driving on the street with it is too much of a hassle for ingress and egress, just pop it in for track days, and take it out for street use.

And that's a good price for a nice seat. Good luck with the sale. -Ed
