Default Intake Manifold Rubber Sleeve Replacement

I have got a bloated rubber sleeve on intake manifold #1. I have a new sleeve, thanks Roger.

What is the easiest way to do this. Can I just remove the clamps and work the old one off and the new one on. Or will I have to loosen the intake manifold to get the sleeve on?

Thanks in Advance

Well, the answer is yes you will have to loosen/take off the intake manifold. The #1 is a bitch and I am going to need to get a different wrench combo to do it.

I am hoping that I can just loosen it a lot and slip the old off and the new on. I gave it a try and could not get to the inside bolt on the manifold. So, I reinstalled the old and am going to go get the right wrench combo, extension, etc.

If you loosen all of the boots, slide them on to the runners and lift the center section out, you can then replace any or all of the boots, put the center back in, slide the boots back in place and tighten them all up... done.
