Here's an update, the right angle screwdriver didn't work very well on one of the screws to remove the green wire from the distributor. I ended up loosening up the distributor, turning it to remove the screws. The new "green wire" is on the car. The old wire was hardly green at all anymore, but didn't appear in horrible condition. The car has started up 3 times in a row (remember, I have an occasional no start problem). I drove the car to work today (about 30 mile), which is the most I have driven it in about 2 months. I hope the problem has been solved. So far I replaced the fuel injection and fuel pump relays, replaced the fuse to the fuel pump and replace the "green wire". If all goes well, I plan to drive the car a lot to make up for not using it for the last few months in fear of getting stranded.

Good job Steve. Next time, let's just pull the engine.

Thanks, but no thanks Andrew. I prefer to drive my 928, rather then tear it apart (although I am due for a tb replacement soon).
