They are the same forging if you look at the back side of a wheel it shows where to cut the cost to get it done is usually high.

hey not a bad idea

i like your outside the box thinking on this.

Machine work could cost a fortune though, but hey now S4 wheels can be seen as blank's fror CS wheels, now instead of being worth nothing, i think they would be worth $5

I like the Design 90 wheels over the Club Sports. Sweet wheels yes, but just to damned pricey to buy second/third hand. Too many people got smart about these wheels.

Well, you have a width issue... CS wheels are 8" and 9" wide... Flats are 7" and 8" wide, so while you MIGHT be able to make them look the same they are not going to be nearly the performance wheel you want. You would be MUCH better off just buying a used set of GT/Design 90 wheels, or even better a MUCH MORE up to date looking 5 spoke wheel from a 996 or Boxster, or better yet an HRE or Fikse, etc...

I have a set growing weeds here, but it would probably cost more to ship them than they're worth. Where are you?

I think cutting them up would hurt the bronze finish and of course the places that are cut would now be silver and you CAN NOT refinish that bronze/gold anodized finish anymore. There is no place that I have found that can/will do it...

BTW, you still need to send me those center caps and I'll turn the box right around to you with the bronze center caps inside...

Here's my take on the issue 5 years ago .... LINK

Quite feasible; however, at the time and for a couple of hundred more, I went with 993 Sport Classics for a S4 ... so never did the project. Anyway, if you proceed, I would recommend programming ( curve profile) a CAM to do the cuts.

This picture makes me want to really do this, but I don't want to ruin the bronze wheels
