Hey that brings up a good name for Kevin's new project "Alien Resurrection"
All jokes aside, for what I think Kevin paid for the car he got a damn good deal-bordering on steal. I have seen the car in person and the paint is not bad, from the look of the pics Kevin has already begun the resurrection process. I would keep the "S" wing on and loss the big wing, and fill in the headlight holes. Kevin, If you ditch the "S" wing and it's taking up your space you send it my way.
Brian that would be a cool name for her. Also I wet-sanded and buffed the car Sunday. What a difference! The new interior is going in as we speak. After that it will have electrical surgury to bring the tach and speedo back to life. The engine clutch and brakes as well as the trans are in perfect operating order, and that as you know are the biggies. There is extensive paperwork and invoices for an engine enhancement, about 15g's worth. They are in German and I cant read it at all. I would like to take the engine down and inspect, as it does not run like a 78 16V. More like a 5-spd. S4. It is a little tame till 3500 rpm and then runs like its on fire, revving very quickly through the gears. You know a stock 16V ain't supposed to do that! The spoiler is yours if I decide to take it off, of course for the favor you did for me, there will be no charge.

Fill the cheese graters in the doors.
Replace the hood with a stocker.
Ditch the wing.
Get some modern wheels.
I actually like the color, but you could change it to anything you liked, if you made those changes to the kit and got it repainted...
But yeah, the cheese-graters on the doors and the naca ducts are the things that really make it stand out as ricey and 80's. But the overall shape of the car is nice. It has potential...

I could tell you worked on the paint, looks much better. What was in the extra box of parts she had for the car? I think all the reciepts added up to something over $40,000. Curious to see it all translated. What was the original color under the interior? I'll take the spoiler if you want rid of it, thanks.
They are functional. When the hood is shut, you can see the rectangular ends of the intake tube connectors there. I didn't get a chance to call today, but we'll catch up.

The original color was guards red. The receipts total a little over 46,000 with the body, paint and engine work. A lot of cabbage, but when you were rich, and it was the eighties, this is what happens!
Abby, how bout' we serve Tubbs up to the evil cocaine cartel bosses, and we can both be Crockett. We can cruise Miami beach while Jan Hammer is blasting through the speakers. Man I loved the eighties!
Mama said if you can't say something nice ... but you asked, so ...
Spicoli won the lottery?
Vroom, vroom, vroom ... I'll bet that car is Fast and Furious.
I thought the Miami Vice refs were both apt and hilarious.
On the bright side, you'll be inside the car and won't have to look at it.
Not to my taste, FWIW (i.e., nothing).
Different strokes.
Will
P.S. I have a paint job idea for mine that I'm confident will be just as polarizing if I ever do it.
I really want to kow how to get it to pass pa state inspection? Like I said I had a 911 slant nose conversion and I had to get rid of it becasue no one would pass it with those headlights. I woudl have really liked to keep the car. I woudl like to know how you got it done.
And if it was me, I'd dial down (flatten) the upper rear wing angle a bit.
I agree - I think it would look a lot better if the wing were on a flatter angle (still a bit busy - but much better).
ROW front lenses are the other way around from USA ones - to me this makes more sense - ~broader coverage for the fogs and closer to the corners for others visibility... the fogs also have white marker lights in them.
I like it - its a bit OTT - but accepting that - it's very well done...
