The tool kit is for show only not like most people are going to be able to fix much on their 928 with those tools ! One customer told me he used his tool kit once to fix a lock on his motel room door

I have used the tool in the kit to pull the plugs. In fact that is the only way I have been able to get at the plugs on my car.

Are these the plugs that cover the tow holes? Those things are very difficult to remove and I was wondering if there is a specific tool for the job.

Ita takes two single-sized wrenches to replace each double-ended wrench in the toolkit.

My toolkit has been used once during my ownership. I was very careful to avoid leaving any marks or dirt on the tool. If that's not a valuable reason to cary the tools, I don't know what is.

Meanwhile, I got a little kit from Home Depot, one of those universal gift set things that show up around Father's Day, and that's what rides in the car. It has a small socket set, screwdriver handle with multiple bits, plus a pair of pliers. I supplement that with the OC Members minimag flashlight and a set of mini booster cables. If it takes more tools than that I'm probably not that willing to dig into it on the side of the road.

Well as far as riding in the car. I've got a 125 piece set and a multimeter in place of the spare tire that wasn't with the car when I bought it.

When one of your accessory belts come off during a trip, you would want to have those wrenches, believe me.

I just bring my 263 piece (50 lb) tool set with me on long trips. Not a worry in the world if that happens.

Is it possible to tow a fully laden Sears tool chest behind the 928?

Depends on how big the casters are and how long the tow chain is...
