I keep checking the AutoArt page, they have a section for "Coming Soon" but I have been disappointed every time...

One thing she did tell me was it,s exactly the same Minerva blue as my 928.
, consolation ?? or tease ??

........,just to add, having got my model at Christmas...., and being a perfectionist, I could,nt help but notice that the fender returns looked very "heavy" and a little out of scale with the rest of an otherwise excellent model...., so I painted the returns in Matte Black, and before it dried created a small edge to resemble a more accurate return on the fenders......, it now looks much more accurate.

You are right about the Autoart website, but a google search for autoart 928s, returns hits for several shops with just about the same presentation :

"AUTOart has announced this 1/18 scale replica of the Porsche 928 S in silver, but we have no confirmed release date at present. Please place an order for this item and we will keep you informed of its expected arrival. You will not be charged until the goods are despatched to you. "

Looks like the two color options will be red and silver..

Checked the Autoart page and they now have a Minerva Blue 928 in 1:43 in their "coming soon" section. Hopefully this means the 1:18 model was a success! Still waiting for the 1:18 silver S-model though...

I emailed the AutoArt headquarters in Hong Kong and received a reply that the "S" model is definitely still on the table but they are "in no hurry to produce it" as there are many other cars they are looking to produce and there is always a shortage of labour in China.

Sorry to revive old thread, but figured this would be good news for some!

The list price of these has gone up significantly since they first came out. I still offer them at a very competitive price - both the 1:18 and 1:43 scale models.

I think someone should buy one of these and then make a replica engine in 1:18th size....
Then make an electrically controlled clutch and a single speed gearbox....

The 1/18 scale one I got from Nicole looks so authentic I halfway expect the clutchline burst fluid onto the exhaust manifold, catch fire and burn down the display case. Just like the real thing

I don't know, mine has been very good to me for a couple years now. And I don't even drive it!
