The air flow ducts for the floor have a foam padding on the bottom of the duct which can be seen on chamilka first picture. Mine is all but gone now what was the purpose of the foam, was it to absorb the water that was condescending from the AC that was not being expelled by the drain tube.

Damn I should have kept pictures from when I took everything out of my 81 chassis and installed the 86 wiring into it.

that is when things start looking abit akward.

To reduce airflow noise. Like the foam things on microphones.

Thank you all for your comments and encouragements, I think I am going to put together all A/C actuators before tackling the Manifold stuff.
I probably would not have tryed to fix these if not for all your advices and expertise.. given the fact that my auto mechanical knowledge/experience is little more than of a 5th grader.
Hey Jim Doerr - I would like to talk to you sometime since we sort of live in the same area,I am sure I can learn something form you.
thanks again for all your help and special thanks for those who email me pictures etc.

Ok I finally button up center console, instrument stuff, Pod, and all the actuators.
Only problem is that the taillight + Brake lights don’t work, they were working fine before, everything else work ( turn lights, reverse, head light fog light). I checked all the fuses, they are all good. The left side maker light does not work also.
What would I have done wrong to make taillight go bad.
I want to get his fix before this Saturday (Porsche HPDC, Summit Point).
Thanks

look for the lamp controller module, iirc it is mounted under the center console, the problem will probably be found there.

On a S4 IIRC it is mounted on the right side of the passenger under tray, above the LH. Maybe it's not connected.

Thats the really NICE thing about a digital camera... When I'm into something life this I take a lot of pics at different stages of disassembling. Freezer Zip lock bags that have the labels you can write on help to keep hardware grouped and labeled. I place some labeled bags next to the area they go and take a pic just in case. As a kid I remember my dad just throwing all the bolts and screws in a coffee can! I have no idea how things got put back together right.
