The pearl S4 that was at the Atlanta Porche dealer that Chuck Z looked at & said it needed paint work was an 1987. That car went to a South Fla. dealer who then had it on ebay. Wonder if this might be the same car? Bet it is, how many Pearl 1987 928s can there be? That other Pearl S4 was just for sale last year. Can't remember for sure but think that other one was an auto, less it was just recently changed to a 5spd.

Here's a pic of the other Pearl white 1987S4 when it was at the Atlanta P-Dealer. It also had a black interior too, go figure!

Looks like I show the other Pearl car as VIN ending in #632, if the person posting this thread can check the car he's talking about?? The other car didn't have any body damage like the crease, but Chuck Z said the hood looked a bit crooked, as though it'd been off the car.

This ATL one has rubstrips, the FL one does not.

VERY interesting! I guess that pearl white was really popular in the '90's and more than a few '80's cars got painted to that color. We had an early Euro S here in the Austin area that got repainted in pearl white. If anyone sees that car I'd like to talk to the owner... (it was owned by a big fat mexican named Chris Perez...bastard owes me more than a few $$$$$!)

But I digress...I have always liked Pearl white from the first time I saw it on a 300ZX Turbo! Great cars btw, nearly got into those instead of 928's! Would still love to add one to the collection some day!

Good catch, must be two different Pearl 1987 S4s that have recently been in Florida then.

Alright, got the basics on this car. It has 80K+ miles, current owner (a sea captain) is the 2nd owner. He purchased it from the OO with 72K out of Maryland, and drove it to his home in Florida. Now he is back in Maryland for the time being. Doesn't drive it as much as he would like (drives BMW1200RS instead).
He says it's an original pearl white. It hasn't been resprayed but some "touch up" work has been done. Plus the crease and crack on the rear quarter/bumper cover.
When he gets back into town in a couple weeks, he's going to get me all the vitals, option codes and pics. I will post it here.
I was, or may be considering this car... but his price is now 15K OBO. I'm not in at 15K.

BTW, he says the TB was done at 55 or 65K.

Don't think the pearl paint adds $4-5k to the value. Especially since you'd be wise to do the TB/WP once you bought it based upon the uncertainty of his info.

Oh man. A pearl white S4 5 speed. I would love to have this car. At $10k its a good deal, at $15 its not due to the crease. BTW, have you verified the crease? The shape of the 928 lends itself to looking like it is dented there when the paint is very shiny.
