Seat connector help needed.
My 12 way seats are currently 3 way....... removed the seats and found the following:
1 - connector broke and ends taped up - disconnected when found, another PO special.
2 - connected - I assume this is the main motor control?
3 - just sort of sat there doing nothing, should it have a connection?
4 - As found connected to nothing, but has the remains of female connector still attached.
6 - (not sure what happened to 5?) nothing connected to this.
Last pic - this fell out from near the front - does it stop the plastic guard from touching the motor?
What connects to what? I want to get everything reconnected before I strip the switches.
Thanks

1) goes to either 3 or 4. Do you have heat in the seats. If not one of the connectors could be for that.
2) main power feed from the floor connector
3) see 1)
4) needs connector 1 me thinks.
6) Memory module maybe
?) Clips arond the emergency cables at the front of the seat

I know this thread is a bit stale, but I am having the same pangs of curiosity after removing my 8 way seats.
In my car, but using Bert's excellent pictures:
1 does got to 4, but the WSM seems to indicate that these pins are duplicated on Terminal 30 and 31 of the bigger plug, which goes to #2 in Bert's pics ( See page 72-13 in the WSM, as I may be reading this wrong.)
So, that still leaves connectors 6 and 3. These are also connected to nothing in my 8 way seats, and everything still seems to function. So, what do they do?

I just had my seats out recently and am trying to remember. I believe that the extra connections are for seat heat or lumbar support. The seat harness is pre-wired for these items whether you have those options or not, so they may not need to be connected. Maybe someone else will chime in if I am wrong...

Matt,
That would make sense, probably cheaper/less complex to just make one harness. Anybody out there with heated seats or lumbar that can confirm if these are connected in your seats?
