Koenig 928: Love/hate kit
Fabio21 wrote under "Weird one sided outlet" thread: Hessank, I would love to see more of your car. Could you start a thread showing it from more angles?
Thanks

Fabio is one of the few remaining authentic Koenigs left. The company moved on to Ferraris and BMWs. Lots of knock-offs around, including in this forum.
Biggest differences between the knock-offs and this one include the front fenders that were extended outwards. Also the entire front end (except hood) is one piece and the real Koenig kits have structural supports underneat to strengthen the front and rear ends.
This one was also customized with H7 type HIDs within the headlights i.e. the lights do not have to flip up. This mod had also passed certification at the local Porsche dealership for light output and placement (Ins Co wanted it certified and appraised on its 15th birthday)
The purists hate it (not sure why because some of them have after-market rims, rear wings, stereo, gear selector ***** etc.).
So Fabio, cause you asked, here goes.
Thanks

I love it It gives the 928 a ferocious look with the wide body, and low profile I've seen a few over the years, and I can honestly say that I have not met one that I didn't like

I really like it for the exception of the trailing edge of the front fenders. I think it could have been contoured a little more and extended the lines coming from the rear more forward. Having said that, it still is a beautiful car.

I don't like that ugly integration of the front fender to the door... If it actually were a functional vent then that would be less... ummm... ugly... stupid??? The back end and tail are WIDE and VERY '80's but since I was a product of the 80's I kind of like it too! I'd certainly buy it if it were for sale at the right price.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I too wished that the front fender extensions vented the engine compartment. I was thinking at next paint job time to carfully cut out and install mesh and actually vent the engine. Mike, those wheels are expensive and hard to find. The rear ones are OZ Racing 17 x 13s with 335/35/17 P-Zeros.

No doubt they are good/expensive wheels. I've seen them on Koenig cars before. I guess this is the "correct" wheel for this car? I just think it really dates the car. Photoshop you some wheels on it and check it out. I like these for a five star wheel for example.
