17" x 13" WOW!!! Thats the thing alot of people don't realize about widebodies. To install a properly fitting wheel takes alot of money or some big spacers. Tareks super widebody has 15" wide rear wheels and still needs 4" spacers to fill the fenders. Go find a 17" or 18" x 15" wheel and see what it costs you. Then go try to find a street tire to fit it. There aren't many choices and the choices you have are very expensive and super soft compound so they don't last very long. This is why I am using 3 1/2" spacers and 10" wide wheels on my widebody. I don't have the money to throw away on extra wide wheels and tires.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not so easy to just get a new set of wheels for this car. I like it the way it is.

BTW Hessank, I just added your car to my picture collection. I have a folder just for widebodies, but I gave your car its own folder within the widebody folder. Thanks for sharing. I really like your car. Is the interior stock?

The front fender looks a bit like the CGT. One of the drawbacks of this was that dirt/debris gets thrown up from the tires onto the door. So cutting out a opening would do the same. I think it would look better W/ GTS mirrors and up dated wheels.
Over all I like it. Oh and a supercharger would also be on my list.

Interesting car!

I love the exhaust treatment, and I'm surprised at the rear view. The strosek and gemballa cars I've seen with the S-style spoiler and a newer wing above didn't look half as good as that.

I do still prefer the strosek kit that Glenn M has on his '87, but thanks hesank, thats a very cool car.

I like the idea of painting the front fender over run black and like the idea of making it a functional engine vent w/ mesh even better! Those are both great ideas...the first one would be SUPER easy to achieve, the second not so much.

Also would prefer to see updated wheels but those are Koenig wheels so they do "go" w/ the kit I guess. I would love a wide body 928 someday. Oh, wait...I already have one...it is a race car though.

I think the BEST looking wide body 928 right now is Fat Bully! No offense to any of the rest of the wide 928's out there, but that kit just DOES IT for me! I like many other kits as well (this one included) but Fat Bully would get my vote hands down!

The best looking w-body I've ever seen is Glenn M's ultra bad-*** Strosek. Makes my car look plain as hell

Anyone remember "Phat928"?

He modified his Strosek kit to make it more modern looking.
I think it looks really nice:

He had a really nice interior setup as well.

You can see more pictures at the internet archive of his old website:

Now that was a sweet car! I like how the training edge of the front fenders are contoured to the doors. Nice transition.

That is a great car. Don't ever part with it. If you do you are sure to regret it.

Thanks again for the comments. This car is so intriguing. I have given it all the hi-tech updates available:- DVD Nav (Pioneer AVIC 3), Bluetooth Rearview mirror (Name & number display), removable steering and most of the Jager aluminium tit bits, Carl's short shift and soon the shift gate (I think it will suit this car). It is close to 20 years old and will hold its own against the likes of the newer Nisson 350Zs and Infiniti's G-Coupes in looks and performance. It turns heads everywhere because its different. Not too many 20 year old cars out there that were not from the Ferrari stable can say the same. My opinion, of course.

I think the stock lines of a 928 are very 'sophisticated' compared to most other cars. That makes it fairly difficult to create a wide body kit without radically changing the overall look and styling of the car. Some people can live with that, I wanted something that emphasizes the look of the car without changing the lines of the car, if you know what I mean. I kinda like the Koenig kits, but I won't buy one. It all boils down to personal taste I guess. That's why I created Fat Bully. And to be honest, I'm too much of a purist to do that to a street car.

Race cars give you "poetic licence" when it comes to radical styling.

Pierre,

I'd do the Fat Bully treatment to a street 928 in a heart beat and add a supercharger to back up the looks! It think it is an obvious evolution of what a sport version of a GTS could have become!

Well done my friend!
