Also, does anyone think the front end looks like it was stolen from the last Toyota MR2?

Me don't understandee what's the insistence on a "Corporate Nose" front end of car design theme.
Works on the Carrera/Boxster/Cayman cause the Motor is not in the front.
But once you figure in the packaging for a front mounted motor/cooling stuff, the nose needs to be fattened up to fit all the stuff in the front trunk.
Looses any elegance the front end may have had.
I squished a Cayenne just for kicks.

Elegance is the correct word. There are a few things in this world that gain authenticity over time, and certain models of Porsches have what seems like a patent on timeless authenticity in their expression of elegant form following function. The 928 is one of those forms. A bird's egg is another; what more could you do to add to it?

If Porsche had squished a Cayenne it would have looked TONS better...it would have been better as a freaking station wagon than that overly tall SUV thing they ended up building. I am not saying it isn't a technological tour de force or that it isn't fast (at least in Turbo, Turbo S, and GTS forms) but damn...they could have made is SO MUCH NICER!
IF that is the Panamerica then lord help us! That has a lot of U-G-L-Y parts from a lot of UGLY CARS!
Hood from last MR2
From that angle the slope of the very back of the roof looks a bit GTR (FUGLY CAR that one!)
Those side scoops...not sure what they are from but they are out of place.
I do like the lights though.
The bigger problem is that, at least from the spy pics I have seen, the back is EVEN UGLIER THAN THE FRONT/SIDE of the car!!!!
When did Porsche hire Chris Bangle to design their cars!

Try a Ferrari 599, though Ferrari does it a slight bit more dramatically. After looking at the Ferrari though, I must say it is not so related. The Ferrari vent is MUCH smaller and the P car vent seems to resemble the original Mustang backwards fake scoop which was just as ridiculous then as this one is now.

I'm with James on the Aston though. That car just oozes sex on wheels. The 599 isn't too shabby either. Aston takes the show in my book for a GT car lately though.

I got it...that side scoop is the Lexus LF-A, or maybe it is that Infinity 4 door... You guys know which one I am talking about??? I have always seen it in this electric metallic blue color, 4 doors, and it has the vertically stacked exhaust pipes... HATE THAT CAR! I think it has that same kind of vent treatment behind the front wheels...STUPID!
Been hanging out at the F-chat site for a long time and that car has NO 599 cues...maybe that is what it needs! I like the 599 A LOT! I like the Aston V8 better though from an asthetic perspective.

Its sad, even porsche is starting to make watered down homogenized cars.....I guess mass appeal is more profitable, than uniqueness. Its just porsche has always been known for breaking that mold. Man its even kinda chrysler 300ish....bah.
