Mercedes used German velour. Wilton Wool was used in many British models, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Etc.

DAMN IT! I was not fast enough! My '84 has full black carpets and the drivers side floor and to a lesser extent the passenger side...SUCKS! It is really just that one piece though, the rest of it is pretty good so I just put a floor mat over it, but I would LOVE to fully redo that car some day!
