He probably kept getting asked what type of car it was. He could have sold the car and bought a 911 instead, but they are more expensive than a set of custom stickers...

They never came with stripes? Someone here has an avatar with a silver 928 with a black stripe over the top of the car, offset to the right side of the car. I thought that looked factory. I like that one.

i can assure you a posh (in its time) GT car never came with stripes.

could you see a Ferrari 456 or Bentley continental being offered with striped? I think not

of course there is the Boxster "designo" edition that is black with a charcoal colored stripe in it. Or is that a cayman? i forget.

Pretty cool.

Didn't the IMSA 928 medical vehicle have similar stripes?
Can't remember.

I have never heard of a pinstripe or decal factory option for tohe 928 - except the ClubSport decal.

Maybe someone should check PET - if it's in there, it was available from the factory...

very nice, very Porsche classic. I saw that signage kit once for sale ... I think it is '70's erman aftermarket. Nice.

"Porsche Design Edition", and its a Cayman S, the car also comes with a collector porsche design watch to match the car.

At $2600, I'm sure it's a true POS, but the Porsche 'original-type' stripes were kinda interesting.

Rixter, The Queen would look good with a set of these stripes.
