Not in the class of blue 82...But here is my "barn" find
the decal on *** end has what seems to be mold spots from siting 10 years any ideas how i can clean it.
I would buy a new one but no way in hell i would get them all in straight

Looks Awesome! I must have missed the original thread, can post more details about the "find"
For the decals, clay may also remove the dirt/mold although the decal may also come with it.
It really does look great.

I also recommend the raised lettering from Nicole.

Placing the decals is relatively easy and painless if you use the correct tools. I used an xacto knife and blade to position them, after using denatured alcohol to clean the indentations. Piece of cake. They have stayed on for five years with no issues.

Afshin,
The story is i drove my 944 up to after school program to pick up my kid
went to leave and battery was dead
asked a women who works there that i have known for 10 years for a jump (ex wife has work at a different site for 15 years )
says we got a porsche in the garage been there 10 years the clutch is shot ....we should try and sell it
find out how much your husban wants for it i say....waited a week asked again
he is not real good at the internets waiting for our son to look up the value.....
waited 4 days asked again .....
o yeah he said 5000 he knew of one that sold for 7000 so took 2000 of for the clutch...( made him sick because he paid 15,000 )
i went over that night to see it (could of used a comb to part the hair on it from the dog they had) ...put my battery in it and it fired up for 5 secs ....said i take it 5000 is fine
got a flat bed to take it the 1 mile to my house
found the clutch pedal had a crack in it so when you pushed it down it hit the floor before it should
2 mins to remove, 5 mins to weld, 5 mins to put back in ( damn washer between the pedals cost me 3 mins )
figure i better find a good place to get parts on the web thats how i found rennlist
for anyone who cares that the story lol
and thanks i like the raised letters hmmmm

if you buy a set of factory stickers they will come on a long piece of paper thats laid out just like the rear end on your car, Peel off one side and the stickers will fall into place.
Test fit the paper first and use some blue tape to mark where the paper should be once the backing is peeled off. I think you will have a color choice of black, white, silver and dark grey,.
Either remove the old stickers, try using some PB blaster and a hair drier or clean them and add the new stickers on the old ones(less desirable)

nice! great story. i love these barn finds. i was in the auto store the other day and a guy comes up to me and says 'is that your 928 over there?' We start talking and he tells me he had seen one sitting in his neighborhood for a long time and finally one day asked the owner about it. the owner told him that nothing worked on it and it wouldnt start so if he wanted it...get this....'you can HAVE IT' . the guy brings the flatbed, picks it up and brings it home. turns out the owners son had gone and removed a bunch of fuses from the fuse box. a set of replacements later and she was good to go. no sh*t.
now if that isnt a find i dont know what is! FREE!!!

Very shiny car. Me likey. I did my rear decals in OEM letters but if I did it again I'd use nicole's raised letters.

Great story and even better buy!
That's a steal for $5k!
So how do you like it compared to the 944?

Hands down 928 better ride i dont turn the radio on because i want to hear the car
Big pita is drive them both in the same day and trying to look cool when you pull the 944 out of 5th looking for 5th in the 928 and hitting 4th again or worse............
928 has a very long pedal movement like a truck 944 does engage in very short movement and takes very little pressure to work it.......that makes the 1st few starts fun too lol
Is that normal i have seen only 1 928 in my area tough to check out myself
