I wonder ...
" Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This Source

Voyeurism is a practice in which an individual derives sexual pleasure from observing other people. Such people may be engaged in sexual acts, or be nude or in underwear, or dressed in whatever other way the "voyeur" finds appealing. The word derives from French verb voir (to see) with the -eur suffix that translates as -er in English. A literal translation would then be “seer” or "observer", with pejorative connotations.

Also, the word voyeur can define someone who receives enjoyment from witnessing other people's suffering or misfortune; see schadenfreude. ......."

.......... Schadenfreude might be a better description for some And please realize that I am NOT SERIOUS....

Congratulations and welcome.

A friendly reminder, a picture of your Shark and your girlfriend are required for continued good standing. The 928 must be yours, however the girlfriend can be borrowed if necessary.

Thanks guys.

I will post pictures tomorrow.

We arrived home a few hours ago. WOW - today I spent over 6 hours in a 1985 Porsche 928 (my 928!!)- 95% interstate driving. My driving speeds ranged from 65 - 95 mph. The faster I drove, the better the car felt.

I've driven other manual shift vehicles before but this is hands down the best. I did miss second a few times today - went into 4th instead (hate it when that happens!).

My heart skipped a beat as I was pulling into a gas station north of Atlanta and I rubbed the front spoiler pretty hard. I also rubbed the front spoiler again turning into a restaurant. I checked it both times and all looked well. Whew! that front end sits low!

Watch out for parking curbs. I have tagged mine a few times on those. So far no damage.

Go slow pulling into gas stations/parking lots.
Drive on the sloped surface at an angle to minimize risk to the spoiler.

Ain't that the truth! Within a week after getting my 928 I pulled into a parking space at work and the S4s front spoiler slid over top of the concrete parking marker (bumper?). I didn't realize it until attempting to leave at the end of the day and found that the spoiler couldn't clear the marker. D'oh!

Fortunately the marker wasn't fixed to the ground so I was able to slid it out of the way after jacking up the front end a bit. Whew!

I've purchased a 1985 928, 5 speed (paint code 539 - white metalic gold). I think the car looks awesom . . . .

This has to be the most awesome car I've ever driven!!!. . . .

Thanks Again,

Congrats on your new baby, Ken! Sounds like you have joined us all on the 'slippery slope' of 928 ownership... and 'what a ride' it is!

White gold metalic = WEISSGOLD = 'Porsche for Blonde' . . .
That's the color of my RSKY BIZ!

* The photoshopping was done by a fellow Rennlister, not me!

(White balance is a bit off -- she is actually a bit more golden then appears in pic)...

Miles of smiles to you, and welcome to the dysfunctional shark family!

Thanks, E --I have been out of the continental US for a bit...
Wish I could attend Sharks in Hell -- I really want one of those T-shirts..
and stickers!

Working on a gtg in San Diego for the end of the month -- know any Rennlisters there, btw? LOL!

So as not to hijack the thread -- and speaking of slippery slopes... today I now have new tires and wheels on my SHARKY!

And a new battery in RSKY BIZ (replaced a defective one -- why can't I win with the GOOD lotteries?)

All is right in my 928 world -- AT THE MOMENT!

Best to Lorelei!

Mine scrapes slightly sometimes.. most annoyingly on my driveway entrance at the kerb, unless I come in at a diagonal angle.

I measured the ride height at 16cm so am planning on adjusting it up 1cm and then getting an alignment once it settles, hopefully in the next week or so.
