Thanks to all have offered guidance in the ultimate selection of my 928.

I've purchased a 1985 928, 5 speed (paint code 539 - white metalic gold). I think the car looks awesom

The previous two owners where "****" and have included reams of documented service. It had a new t-belt, rollers and water pump installed at 119,000. It currently has 124,000. The t-belt has been on for a little over 3 years now.

Anyway, I'm driving it back from Florida where I purchased it. I drove it about 2 hours last night on I-75 and stopped in Valdosta, Ga. I've got another 6 hours to drive before I reach the Smoky Mountains and home. I'm not real impressed with the sound from the Blaupunct (sp?) Cheyene stero, although it will suffice for now.

This has to be the most awesome car I've ever driven!!!

Well, it's getting close to check out time here at the Wyndham and I'm in a hurry to hit the road!!

I'll post pictures this afternoon or early tomorrow.

I will only tell you it looks like a good deal after you post pics. Until then it's questionable.

 

A 928 is the most enjoyable drive I had so far. It's like a glove that fit perfectly.

Good job. You got the best model year 928 for price/performance. Also the perfect mileage IMO with all the maintenance already done just after 100k miles.
