Post Fender bender

A delivery van cut too close while trying to go around me as I was waiting to parallel park.

The fender is reprofiled, can it be beaten out successfully? The fender liner was cracked, but the headlight, and ABS pump are fine.

I'm guessing $1500? More?

That really sucks!! IMO I bet a good body shop will be able to work it back out, the hardest thing is going to be able to match your paint. White is,believe it or not, one of the hardest colors to match!

Hope that delivery van (or company that owns it) has good insurance.

Are most body shops versed in the art of bending Aluminum these days?
Is the hood still centered on both sides of the fenders?

Looks like just a spot and color blend for the damaged panels. Shouldn't be anymore than $1,000

Sum beach, Ken... hope you didn't shoot the perp.

Driver and van probably unhurt.

Sorry, man.

Dude. That sucks! What the hell is going on these days!

My guess... including Porsche tax.... $2,500 minimum. Mine came out to $4,177 for a cracked rear bumper.

That sucks!

probably best to find a used fender and paint to match. (if you can live with just buffing out the scratches on the front bumper) Then, it would just be a paint and bolt on affair. ($1000 for fender and paint)

drop it off, and have them fix it, and you are looking at Big Bucks.

I'm sure they have insurance, but I'm expecting a cash offer. I went to a local place for a quick estimate.

The van had a looong white mark along the side.

I forgot about the whole single stage paint thing. They're gonna put clear coat on my original paint?

I'm almost of a mind to buff the offending green off there, and leave it as is for a while. Save the money for later, after I collect a few more dents...

hmmm, r&r of the front bumper cover & spoiler fixing the damage to the cover, fixing the fender & painting... in CA I'd say $3500. If you replace the fender adding the additional fender costs and R&R you are probably close to $4500.

That's what the body shop guy I just talked to was hinting at. Spot color, with a clear coat over the panel to 'match'.

...

I wonder if could find a good original GrandPrixWhite fender and install it?

I think it is totaled, you might ought to just put it on a truck with Kie's Blue82 and send them both down here so you guys don't have to look at those wrecks up there anymore! LOL! Your car is BEAUTIFUL, you will get that fixed no problem and be back in business.
