I think officially it's 14.15 but a magazine did it in 13.7 or something like that.

I once had a mid-90's 325 (E36) try to race me once on my way home. I had no idea what that was about. Definitely a 325, not 328 or anything.

I stomped on it a few times to let him hear in case he mistook me for a 4-cylinder but I basically let him go. He sped off into the night while I continued at the speed limit. A mile or two later, going in the same direction as the beemer, I saw the teltale flashes of speed traps all around. Quite an amusing drive!

That's a 32V theritory for sure. Maybe not the auto but for the 5-speeds for sure.

It's odd, I haven't been challenged in quite a while. Lately when on the highway everyone seems to get out of the way or I'm just cruising with traffic and no one messes with me. I do get the ocasional (Spin the Tires) from the teenagers at stop lights but not much beyond that. Weird.

Regardless I can't complain about the sharks ability to get up and go, both the S4 and the GT very easily and quickly get you into night in jail territory.

One thing I will say is that I would much rather be driving the shark over any 3 series beemer (no offense to owners). They just don't do it for me, I feel isolated from the mechanicals when driving them. Can't really explain it any other way. Maybe it was the SMG that killed it for me.

No stock shark of that vintage came within a half a second to a 5 second 0 to 60.
Gretch,
I totally agree. I read somewhere that the 335i get 300 to the wheels. With a simple 2k chip upgrade you get 384hp & over 400 torque. I will be dynoing mine sometime soon at Louies. I'm very impressed with handling and power.

928 & 335i are both great cars but the 928 looks much cooler.
