I have a 928 that titles as an 81 928s euro with a m28/11 engine...... vin # states the car is an 80 though. I am about to do a TB/waterpump, and wanted to upgrade to a Porkensioner....... Any info would be great!

The PKsn'r brackets fit all years, US and ROW, and AFAIK, have been successfully installed on all different US models from OB to GTS.

The only exception is 78-79 where the Audi tensioner doesn't fit if the original steel A/C bracket is still in place. (Pic) If the 78-79 (NLA?) compressor and bracket has been replaced with the 80-up unit, or the A/C has been removed, then it will fit. I've heard talk of modifying the steel bracket, but haven't seen it done, yet.

The manual is (here).
