Personally, I like the total Vette drivetrain option the best. I like the Chebby W/Porsche transaxle option if I were to do it, but I have never seen the Ford rear end option.

Why not get a decent Mustang GT driveline and go all Ford ? Seems like the easy way to get all the fixins.

Keep us posted on this project. AFAIK, you get a gold star on completion.

Mustang does not have a big enough cheap enough engine or strong enough transmission...He is talking 383 - 400 cu inch Chevy and Chevy horsepower is cheap.

AMEN to that brothers... Amen to that. Chevy horsepower is so cheap! That only regret I have (even now; pre-build) is the handling ..... the live axle will wreck the track factor completely.

Why cut up a 928 to fit a chevy motor, install a 9" Ford rear end and compromise the car's handling?

If you need more HP, install one of Tim's supercharger kits. You really can't ask for more with nearly 500 hp at the rear wheels in a car that handles extremely well at all road speeds.

Have you thought of selling the 928 as is and put the money towards the purchase of a 'vette?

Look who crawled out of the cracks in the floor. Aren't you busy preventing fire hazards or complaining to management about some risky language? OH MOMMY- Johnny said the F word. Or better yet, aren't there some non members you should be shaking down for membership? Go away dude, you erk me. Besides, tomorrow is finals and we wouldn't want to lower our 4.0 average.... Think of all the cheerleaders.

BTW- I'd like to make a suggestion that we call anyone who comes in here and does nothing but create inane polls for the sole purpose of trying to sell parts a 'Mason'. Anyone second the motion?

Yup..... I use at least a 60% discount and many itmes even less. 25% is not enough of an insetive for other buyers to take a risk.
