power window gremlins

power window gremlins

I seem to be only able to use one power window at a time. Holding down both switches paralyzes the windows. Any ideas?

What year are you talking about. Normal operation for my 93!

Earlier than '89 will roll down all (2x windows, sunroof) '89 plus have a controller under the seat, and it's a one at a time thing.

I think the change to the new controller was at MY90. It added some new functions, like autoclosing, but did prevent both window motors from operating at the same time.

My 95 does that, its standard operation. Highly annoying but there you go! If you press one after the other it does 'queue up' the openings though, so you don't have to wait until one opens until you do the next
