I would pay $3.25/, remove my balls, and drive like a milk toast scientist on an economy experiment.

I have been paying an extra $25 per tank of gas.
On the way to SATL I followed Eric while he towed his shark. We averaged 60 to 65mph. Upon arrival at Kings Beach I filled up and discovered my normal 15mpg average in the Euro was now 20mpg. That while running the AC and climbing a 7000 foot pass.
A little rudimentary math told me that I am wasting six gallons of gas per tank while driving the car the way it was intended.
So now I'm wondering. If you pulled into a gas station and the price of gas was $4.50 per gallon, but if you promised to drive like an old lady you would only have to pay $3.25 per gallon; which price would you pay?

I've found myself having a less heavy right foot, but it has nothing to do with the price of gas.
It's because the X-over, small resonators, and RMB and my respect for others that don't like loud cars. Now let me tell you, that is only on residential streets.

Let's assume 15,000 miles per year:
15mpg @ 4.50 per gallon = $4,500 per year ($375 per month)
20mpg @ 3.25 per gallon = $2,437 per year ($203 per month)
To be a bit more realistic:
20mpg @ 4.50 per gallon = $3,375 per year ($281 per month)
In the most extreme comparison we are looking at $172 per month to enjoy my 928.

Awww c'mon. Most people around here don't put more than 5-7k miles on their cars (if that). Cut that number in half to a third.
$60-$85 per month to enjoy the car? Puuulease
If you're worrined about that... you should have never bought the car in the first place.

And what about oil consumption too. When I drove my 90GT like "an old lady" it didn't use a drop of oil. When I drove it, uh...lets say, "spiritedly" it used a quart every 500 miles.
I am anxious to see oh the 94 GTS does on both counts.
