'84 Euro on Ebay - Thoughts?
All,
As I stated in my first post, I'm currently in the market for a 9-2-8. This '84 Euro on Ebay caught my attention (although it's an auto).
What are your thoughts / opinions of this vehicle?

Thanks,
Ken

Looks pretty clean. Nice color. I'd want to see the diver side seat bolster. He's looking to get more than he paid... I don't think so. At best $8,500 if clean and good PPI especially with the AC and sunroof issues.
Just my $9.28.

Ken,
I hope others chime in here. The 84 Euro has the 4.7 16v motor that MAY BE interference....unlike US versions. Maybe others can verify or shoot me out of the saddle on this one. The 86 is a 32v motor. The 86 will also have anti lock brakes as well. Take a look at www.928registry.org for some interesting model to model changes.

I agree $8500 is steep, but if everything else checks out the A/C (pretty big issue) and sunroof (minor at best) it would be worth every bit of $7500...maybe $8k if you like the color in and out. I'd take an '84-'86 (I think the 310HP started w/ '84) Euro over ANYTHING other than an S4/GTS! 3300 lbs and some say more like 330HP! Those cars were FAST! It was a down grade to the S4 for most Euro owners, but I do prefer the look and feel of the S4's and up...
YMMV!

Are those sports seats? Hard to tell from that interior shot from the rear looking forward....
FWIW - I bought my '85 EURO with near-perfect paint and interior, no AC or sunroof issues, new TB/WP and 1/2 the mileage, 5 years ago for less than $7k.

By the way Ken, I just looked at that 928 in your signature last weekend (I'm preparing to post pics of the event today). But at 10,500 it's definitely not what you're looking for!
