Hello All,
First post here. I bought a USA '81 a couple weeks ago. I'm doing some work on the interior and was planning on pulling the seats to put the pads back into their correct spots. The seats are in pretty good shape however the pads have slid around making the seat kinda lumpy and somewhat ugly compared to the cars on this board.
I'll be pulling the seats tonight and I want to know how to get that button out. When I gently pull the button I see 2 screws which leads me to thing the button pulls out then the screws unscrew. I don't however want to yank the button out on a 27 year old car without knowing that it should pop out. Please let me know. Also any tips on keeping the pads set would be apprecitated.
I have used the search engine for many tips, but I couldn't find an answer to this specific question so please forgive me if it is a common question.
Thanks!

If your seats and buttons are simular to my 83. All I did was remove the screws and the switch plate pulls out and then all I did was mark the connections on both switches and connectors before unplugging them and I was good to go. Pretty straight forward on the 83. Others will chime in if there is a difference...but I can't imagine there being much. Good Luck with the cushions...I'll be needing to do that shortly too!
