Default new spoiler..

Looks great, but my car's crappy spoiler looks even worse now that I look at your new one-- damm. The PO had created a home depot special spoiler on my car.

One day, when I decide to stop being such a cheap Bast!!, I'll open my wallet and get a new one...I have a dream that I'll find a replacement spoiler at the junkyard one day, which could happen, maybe....

Sweet. I can't wait to put mine on. I'm just waiting to get the clear coat buffed first. The PO of my car decided it would be a good idea to "attach" the spoiler with a multitude of 2" wood screws through the spoiler into the fender, cover with bondo, and then paint. What a PITA to remove.

Congrats!! I did that a couple of years ago, and I hope never to have to do it again as it was a bitch till I got it out in the sun and loosened it up some.

I had to remove both of the fender liners and drill the front fender. The P.O. or two ago must of got tired of replacing the spoiler and just filled the holesand painted the fenders. The hole drilled out nicely except for two which just pushed a bunch of body filler and a large holethroough the fender. Thankfully the spoiler covered up the holes. It also took a couple of trips to the hardware store for the proper screws and nuts. I am now very carefull when pulling into a parking spot with a curb, I usually just back in.

Mark,
I couldn't believe the difference in high speed handling once I put the front spoiler on the stepson. Have you had it out for a high speed drive?

what people dont realize, is that you can but some steel brackets behind the usual, broken pieces right after the break duct, and rivet it. paint the rivets black and use some black sealant, and you can barely tell it was destroyed. (you pre S4 guys know what i mean!)

It took me about 8 hours in total, keeping in mind that I am completely **** and must clean everything before putting it back on. I also layed everything out in the sun as previously suggested and worked my way from right to left loosely bolting everything up as I went. I still had the left fender tab break off as I was sliding it onto the fender. Other than those issues I thought it went fairly easily. I wish I had taken more photos of the install, but I was to busy washing parts, drinking IPA and smoking my cigar while my neighbors kept driving by asking me what I was up to now. My kids were riding their scooters around and showing me the flowers, bugs and other things they had found in our col-de-sac. And my wife kept asking me to move a heavy pot in the back yard or if I liked this flower here or there, and this plant here ot there. All while I have the Mariners (the truly worst team in baseball) losing on the radio. All in All one of the better days in my life!!
