#16
Just back tracked on the N0138112 number and as Bill indicates it supercedes to the 900 123 144 30 and I have a ton of them in stock so no problem.
Mike,
Your 12 will ship with your parts today.
Craig,
Sending you 12 and send back those washers you do not need.
Thanks Bill

Hey Wait, Roger please count the bolts on a 32 valve cam cover and include all of the washers for all of the bolts, the PET just calls for washers along the center and the lower edge I would suggest to add them to all of the bolts so you will need 26 sealing rings IIRC 13 a side??

OK I just went with the recomendation on the bulletin on Bills post.
So we need one washer per bolt so we are a few short.
PET for the 85 calls for 24 bolts. So 24 washers right?

I've seen the washers on some cam covers and not on others. I have stopped a CC leak by using them along the bottom of the CC. On the other hand - go ahead and shoot me - I've been using Permatex Gray along with the rubber gaskets when I do PC'd covers. Mainly on the head mating surface with just enough on the cover to keep the gasket in place during assembly. I have never had a permatexed CC leak.
I'm of the opinion that if the CCs have been powder coated they will leak with or without the spacers if you don't goop them. I've tried it twice without goop and in both cases they leaked with the spacers.
