Default Which one should I fix?? Noob questions here...

Can decide what to do so Im looking for knoledgable push in the right direction. Totally NOOB questions, which way should I go to end up with a driver? I bought these 3 cars (non-running) because they were so darn cheap. Figured I can sell off what I dont need to fund paint job and interior swap. Ill have way less than 5K in all combined

84 Euro 5 speed needed fuel pump, horible interior, bad paint. Screamer and running now.
87 S4 (title issues that clean up in diferent state) with bad door panels in black/black and will need some work. Needs engine re-install.
US 86 5 speed with great interior and bad paint. PO says engine was running rough. Bad paint.

I understand the euro is a better engine than the US 86 because in interference issues but maybe Im wrong. Interior in euro is shot. US 86 car has 52K and nice interior. I dont know anything about the S4 other than been sitting for 10 yrs, was running then. Id just like to end up with a good driver so should I pull the good interior from 86 or sell Euro, sell all 3 and buy an S4 in good shape. I love the S4 body style much better than the earlier cars so I thought about swapping end caps. All will need paint. It doesnt help having adult attention deficet disorder, laughing but Ill have less than 5K total in all 3 cars so which way should I go? (besides get a good shrink)?
Also, the other cars are FS once I get what I need...

fix the euro..... IT RUNS!
you can use the interior parts from the other cars as donors as all of it will swap (except the rear air/seats) without any serious issues
where are you located?

With the little information you give us I'd agree with the above.

You do realize they're still gonna cost you at least another $5k... even combined into one.

I think he plans to make a lot of money selling off the old parts after he selects the "good" parts for the keeper... I sure have heard this before.."because they were so darn cheap" ...

Oh, and my estimate of "future investment" doesn't include any paint jobs.

Is the '86 US an early '86 or a late '86.5? Look at the vin to determine this, last four digits 1000 and up is '86.5.

All the engines in the car you have are interference and you will have to be carefull with the timing belt for all of them. The S4 gives you better tuning oportunities then the other two, the '86 would be next and then the '84 with some help.

Is the S4 a manual or auto?

Turn the Euro into a track / DE car. The interior already sucks so just gut it. Fix up the 86 as a driver. A rough running engine could be alot of things. Most are not too major.

I vote the 86 running rough is a good place to start learning about these car and have someone rub out the paint.

Build the 84 Euro with the 85 trans (see if you have a limited slip )and interior, part out the S-4 it's body parts have FAR MORE value and demand. Put the S-4 suspension and brakes on the Euro as well. Sell the two 4 valve engines , sell the 84 5 speed trans...some other bits and pieces have some value but you end up throwing away a LOT of stuff..
